Today's project

So today I got busy making graduation centerpieces for a lady who ordered from my Etsy Store..

By the way, my store is at WWW.Etsy.com/shop/kelleycards
(Before I forget)

She wanted a "muscle car", the graduation cap and tassel, the year 2010, and his initials in black, green, and yellow. Here is what I came up with her for 5 centerpieces!

My First Blog

Well, here I am. Not sure if I am ready to do this but I have so many ideas in my head that I want to share and hopefully inspire others.

A little bit about me...I am a mother of 4 grown children; ages 19, 20, 22, and 25. My oldest daughter is an Army solider currently stationed at Fort Wainright, Alaska. My oldest son is now a future soldier scheduled to leave for Boot Camp August 31, 2010. I could not be more proud of both of them~!.

I am a work-at-home medical transcriptionist as my career and papercrafts are my hobby and my passion. I have been doing scrapbooking for years and created albums for my kids as they each graduated from high school. A few years ago I learned the art of cardmaking through Stampin Up and recently in February of this year joined Stampin Up as a demonstrator myself. I craft every free minute I get. I go to craft fairs and set up vendor space to share my creations; birthday centerpieces, banners, cupcake toppers, invitations, wedding invitations, vinyl cut outs, etc. etc. etc. Seems like every night I dream another project to tackle.

I hope you enjoy my little corner of creativity. I hope to be able to link you to some of my favorite inspirations from other bloggers who are very talented.

I am also going to share my latest endeavor on this blog which is a way to combine the proud Army mom with my papercrafting hobby by creating cards for a wonderful organization. Operation Write Home. They collect handmade cards for soliders who are deployed overseas and send them to their units so that the soliders have access to cards to send back home to their loved ones on special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries or just because! I have been looking for the right cause to honor my kids who have made the choice to protect us all and I think Operation Write Home is going to be a great choice!

You can visit them at their website: www.operationwritehome.org and consider getting involved in a great cause that honors the men and women who risk their lives to protect us all!
