Create a Critter Challenge FCCB BLOG

So this week's challenge at Fantabulous Cricut Cartridge Blog was to create a bug or creepy crawly thing and include the color orange. I am NOT a fan of bugs or creepy crawlies so I really thought I would pass on this challenge but I got an order to do lady bug cupcake pics through my Etsy Store and as I was filling that order tonight in my craft room it dawned on me that I have seen many times orange lady bugs too! SOO while I was at it, cutting out the little heads and antanae with my George shapes cartridge, I did a couple of orange lady bugs too! Now I have an entry for the contest this week at FCCB!.

The lady bug's bodies are 3D..I use one of my punches from SU called scallop circle to make them, 3 for each body and then folded in half and glued together. My brillant daughter came up with using the quotation marks from George and since they are 2 separate pieces turn one out and they create an all in one piece antena. I already had these pieces ready to assemble but that is why I named my Etsy Store Kelleycards...whenever I am creative challenged, she has the answer and we work quite well and have created a lot of the projects in the store together. She enjoys crafting as much as I do which gives us wonderful mother daugther time which is precious and rare now she is in college, working full time and 19 years old! (my baby).

Anyway, hope you enjoy my lady but collection....here is just a little lady bug info in case your interested:

Lady bugs: There are hundreds of different kinds all over the world. There are about 500 different kinds in the United States and nearly 5000 world wide. They come in all different colors, too. Reds, yellows, orange, gray, black, brown and even pink!
